EVENT DETAILS How did the Continental Army’s fight against the most formidable military force in the world begin? What did men that now hold legendary status, like George Washington and Benjamin Franklin, do to rise to the occasion against impossible odds? Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Rick Atkinson, joined by General David Petraeus, uncovers the untold stories and moral conflicts—from both the American and British perspective—of the first 21 months of the Revolutionary War. Rick Atkinson is the author of The British Are Coming: The War for America, Lexington to Princeton, 1775–1777, the inaugural volume of The Revolution Trilogy. General (Ret.) David H. Petraeus (moderator) commanded coalition forces during the Surges in both Iraq and Afghanistan and served as director of the CIA. He is now partner in the global investment firm KKR and chairman of the KKR Global Institute. LOCATION The Robert H.
